Earlier this year, the world came to New Jersey for the FIFA World Cup. It was an exciting time for sports fans and brought tremendous recognition to our state as several games, including the final, were played at MetLife Stadium.
I joined R&J at the tail end of 1999, when the world was on the precipice of the Y2K transition and all the uncertainty that came with it was swirling. It was literally the dawn of a new century, and there was very real talk, in many circles, about the possibility that the whole world would be completely transformed in an instant at the stroke of midnight.

Nominated by their peers, Jess and Kaila, are two of only 24 professionals to be selected for this honor.
Almost two years after the initial COVID-19 lockdowns in the United States, the country is still dealing with the devastating impacts of the pandemic on the national blood supply. Shortages this past winter reached a critical point and put many hospitals’ ability to provide life-saving treatments for a variety of conditions at risk. In the lead up to World AIDS 2021, the R&J healthcare team conducted media outreach leveraging our extensive media relationships across the New Jersey media market to raise awareness of the continued need for HIV/AIDS education and the important role testing plays in further curbing this epidemic.
